Agriculture & Food Project

The Agricultural Journalism Project is a dedicated initiative aimed at fostering accountability and promoting sustainable development in the pursuit of food security in Nigeria, aligning with the goals outlined in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This project is driven by a commitment to fortify the capacity to analyse and effectively communicate agricultural data to specific target audiences, thereby expanding multimedia coverage of critical agricultural issues.

At its core, the project actively engages stakeholders in meaningful discussions on policies and research pertaining to the agricultural sector and by doing so, it facilitates a collaborative approach to addressing challenges and opportunities in the industry.

Through the strategic use of open data, civic technology, and investigative journalism tools, the project rigorously monitors government intervention programs in agriculture thereby contributing to a comprehensive approach toward sustainable development in the agricultural industry.
